BF Goodrich Advantage T/A review
What is it?
The BF Goodrich Advantage T/A is an everyday tire for sporty coupes and sedans (Corrolla, Accord, Camry, etc.). The Advantage T/A features all weather traction with seriously long treadwear - up to 75,000 miles according to BF Goodrich.
Strengths and weaknesses?
The Advantage T/A Grand Touring All Season Tire's highpoints are dry traction and ride quality. In just about every other performance category it's relatively average, except for in deep snow and ice conditions, where it trails the grand touring all season competition.
How does it compare?
In the very crowded and highly competitive grand touring all season tire category, the Advantage T/A ranks on the good side of mid-pack according to user feedback. However, this is a tire category where the top five to six tires have really separated and distinguished themselves. The Advantage T/A simply does not match the category leaders from Pirelli, Continental, Bridgestone and Michelin in any evaluative criteria.
- Treadlife Warranty: 6 Years, 60,000 miles (H-or V-Rated). 6 Years, 75,000 miles (T-Rated). Mileage stipulations for staggered tire setups
- Uniformity Warranty: 1 Year / first 2/32" of wear
Anything else to know?
The BF Goodrich Advantage T/A Grand Touring All Season Tire is an established good, but not great grand touring all season tire. This doesn't mean it's a bad choice at all, but rather that the grand touring all season class leaders are just that much better across the board.
If you're buying into the grand touring all season category for the first time, you'll probably be tempted by superior category performers. On the other hand, have positive experience with the Advantage T/A, and it suits your needs? Then no reason to abandon ship.
