What is it?

The Bridgestone Blizzak LM-50 RFT snow/winter tire was originally designed for use on the Toyota Sienna minivan. The Blizzak LM-50 RFT uniquely features run flat technology. 

Strengths and weaknesses?

Users report typically excellent Blizzak winter condition traction and performance.

May make more road noise than some alternatives due to the run-flat technology.

How does the Blizzak LM-50 RFT compare?

Indications are that the Blizzak LM-50 RFT's winter performance and characteristics are in line with other Blizzak, and alternative brand winter options.

Anything else to know?

Very limited 17" sizes due to its intended application on the Toyota Sienna, but the Blizzak LM-50 RFT has been successfully fitted to vehicles such as the Volvo C30 T5 and BMW X3.

If you can forego the run-flat feature, the excellent Bridgestone Blizzak WS80, Continental WinterContact SI, and Michelin X-Ice Xi3 are all excellent and worth a look. 

Install in sets of four only, or you'll be dealing with a potentially hazardous handling imbalance.
