Dunlop Grandtrek AT23 review
What is it?
The Dunlop Grandtrek AT23 is a highway all season tire designed for premium SUV's.
The AT23 was fitted as the original equipment tire for certain model Lexus and Toyota SUV's.
Grandtrek AT23 strengths and weaknesses?
User feedback suggests that the Grandtrek AT23 offers very compromised wet and snow condition performance. Treadlife is also quite limited.
The AT23 is arguably not a capable year-round performer.
How does it compare?
Direct comparative data is lacking. We can't find information to suggest that the Grandtrek AT23 fares much better against (top tier) category competition than the subpar Grandtrek AT20.
The AT20 is one of the worst rated and reviewed highway all season tires on the U.S. market, and the AT23 doesn't entirely reverse that reputation.
Many users have opted to move on from "Grandtrek" original equipment tires.
- Treadlife Warranty: None
- Uniformity Warranty: 1 year, first 2/32" of wear
Anything else to know?
Very limited 18" sizes due to the intended OE application.
Lack of treadlife warranty is a concern in light of poor user feedback in this area.
AT23 pricing is reflective of the premium SUV's to which the Grandtrek AT23 was fitted, not its performance and quality.
Many owners have moved on to superior tire options, and we would suggest that you consider doing the same.
For premium SUVs and year-round road use we like the Michelin Premier LTX, Pirelli Scorpion Verde All Season Plus, and Continental CrossContact LX20 with EcoPlus Technology for starters. And despite being a bit long in the tooth, Dunlop's Signature CS is also a better option.
