Dunlop Signature CS review
What is it?
The Dunlop Signature CS is an all season tire designed for crossovers and SUV's. Often used as OE replacement tires.
Strengths and weaknesses?
The Signature CS performs admirably across all evaluative metrics.
Comfort characteristics and treadlife are its strongest attributes, but it also delivers above average dry and wet traction, and respectable winter/snow performance.
How does it compare?
In 2009 testing, the Signature CS slotted in just behind the BF Goodrich Long Trail T/A Tour and Kumho Road Venture APT KL51. Testers noted that the Signature CS lacked some outright performance, grip, and handling as compared to the competition, but was a "good choice for drivers who focus on comfort over sport handling."
According to user feedback, the Signature CS ranks seventh out of twenty tires in the crossover/SUV touring all season tire category.
- Treadlife Warranty: 6 years, 60,000 miles
- Uniformity Warranty: 1 year, first 2/32" of wear
Anything else to know?
Somewhat limited 16", 17", and 18" sizes available.
Comes with a commendable treadlife warranty, which is not standard for Dunlop crossover/SUV touring all season options.
The Signature CS is a relatively faultless, and solid overall crossover/SUV all season option. For slightly less money, consider the Continental CrossContact LX20 with EcoPlus Technology.
