Continental HSR review
What is it?
The Continental HSR highway rib summer tire (HSR = Heavy-Duty Steer-Axle Regional) is designed for limited application use on the steering axles of medium-duty trucks. While engineered for road use, the HSR can accommodate light off-road use.
Strengths and weaknesses?
Feedback and testing on the HSR is limited, but users report excellent treadlife and more off-road capability than might be expected.
How does it compare?
Direct comparative data is lacking, but Continental knows how to design proper Highway Rib Summer tires. The Continental Vanco-2 and Vanco-8 are two examples.
- Treadlife Warranty: None
- Uniformity Warranty: First 10% of wear
Anything else to know?
The HSR is not designed to exceed 75 mph.
Very limited sizes available.
