General Tire Grabber review
What is it?
The General Tire Grabber is an off-road maximum traction tire designed for full size trucks and SUV's. The Grabber was born out of off-road competition, but is engineered for a blend of both on- and off-road use.
Strengths and weaknesses?
Good dry and wet traction and handling characteristics, but shy of the category leaders.
Relatively poor snow/winter performance and comfort characteristics. Treadlife is also near worst in class.
How does it compare?
The Grabber offers slightly less than the category leaders across the board, and as a result ranks sixth out of seven off-road maximum traction tires per user feedback.
- Treadlife Warranty: None
- Uniformity Warranty: 1 year, first 2/32" of wear
Anything else to know?
Unlike in other tire categories, General Tire doesn't make the Grabber particularly compelling when it comes to value either. It's nearly as expensive as the class-leading BF Goodrich Mud-Terrain T/A KM2, and notably more expensive than the Firestone Destination M/T, which comprehensively outperforms the Grabber.
Red sidewall lettering is pretty sweet though...
